PERSONAL BRANDING PORTRAITS

pre-session info & tips by cami

Welcome, and thank you for booking your personal branding session with me!

I’m excited to work with you and help you create images that truly reflect who you are and what your brand stands for.

Whether you're a creative entrepreneur, coach, artist, freelancer, or founder — this session is about you. Your essence, your message, your energy. My job is to make sure that comes through clearly and beautifully in every photo we create together.

Below, you’ll find helpful tips to prepare for our shoot and get the most out of your session. Please take a few minutes to read everything and feel free to bookmark this page for reference.

A few words before we begin

This experience is meant to feel aligned, empowering, and most importantly — authentic to you. If you're feeling a bit nervous in front of the camera, please know that it's totally normal — most people are! My approach is relaxed, intuitive, and guided. I'll help direct you in a way that feels natural and never forced. We’ll work together to create an atmosphere that feels easy and honest.

I believe that great branding photos don’t just show what you do — they show who you are.

What we’ll create

  • Portraits that feel polished but relaxed
  • Candid, lifestyle images that feel real and unposed
  • Behind-the-scenes shots of you working, creating, thinking, connecting
  • Detail shots (hands, materials, tools, favorite objects)
  • Photos that can be used across websites, social media, newsletters, press kits, and more

Wardrobe Tips

  • Choose clothes that align with your brand’s aesthetic (professional, creative, casual, bold, minimalist, earthy, etc.)
  • Stick with solid colors or subtle patterns — neutrals, jewel tones, or soft pastels tend to photograph beautifully
  • Avoid large logos, graphics, or distracting text
  • Bring at least 2–3 outfit options for variety (layers are your friend!)
  • Accessorize with intention: minimal jewelry or statement pieces that feel aligned with your personality
  • If you wear makeup, go for a slightly polished version of your everyday look — nothing overly dramatic unless that’s your brand
  • Iron/steam outfits in advance and bring them on hangers if we’re shooting on location

A few things to bring

  • Any tools of your trade (notebooks, laptop, books, brushes, camera, candles, mugs, packaging — whatever represents your work or vibe)
  • Favorite props or personal objects (a plant, an artwork, a hat, a product you sell, etc.)
  • Water, lip balm, and anything that helps you feel good and fresh throughout
  • A small towel, blotting paper or powder for any shine if you’re prone to it

Hair & Makeup

If you’d like to book a professional hair and makeup artist for your session, I’m happy to recommend someone — or feel free to book your own. It’s optional, but it can make a big difference, especially if you want a polished look with minimal effort on the day.

Session Flow & Energy

Our session will be flexible, collaborative, and fun. I’ll give you gentle direction as needed, and I’ll also leave space for spontaneous moments to unfold. Don’t worry too much about “posing” — I’ll guide you every step of the way and help you feel natural in front of the camera.

We’ll work together to find your angles, expressions, and energy — so you leave with images that feel like a true reflection of your brand and self.

Delivery Timeline & Method

After the session, I’ll carefully edit and retouch your best images — my average turnaround is 2–3 weeks, but I’ll always keep you posted. You’ll receive your final gallery via a private online link with high-resolution, print-ready files. No image limit — you’ll receive all the best ones.
