I always aim to tell a story with each session.

To accomplish this, I shoot a lot to capture as many candid moments and natural expressions as possible, as well as close-ups, headshots, etc. That's why I deliver a lot of images, every time.

Even with mini sessions, I guarantee well over 50 moments delivered. Full sessions tipically result in over 200 images or more.

When my daughter was born, I used a few different photographers to get some professional photos of us. They were good sets, but one stood out head and shoulders above the rest: Cami from Bellatrix Photography. She captured time, place and smell in a photo. I look at the pictures she took that first summer and I can feel the sun on my face, smell the fresh grass and that delicious newborn baby smell. The pictures transport me back to that very day. She captures the day, feelings, and the emotion so well, it is like she is a member of our family and always observing us. It is never awkward or strained, it is relaxing and fun and the time goes by so quickly, you wonder if you did enough. Then you see the photo gallery and you see she got so many amazing photos you will never be able to pick just one to frame! We have had sessions with Bellatrix ever since that first summer. I wholeheartedly recommend her for capturing the little windows of your lives.

MY APPROACH

With family sessions, I always deliver variations of the typical "grandma's fridge portrait" (everyone smiling and looking at the camera), plus lots of fun, in-between, candid moments, as well as close-ups, details, headshots, etc. When it comes to photographing children, I've dealt with countless situations during my 10+ years as a photographer, so rest assured I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

With branding sessions, I give you a good amount of material to use on social media. Aside from full-body portraits and headshots with a variety of angles and expressions for you to choose from, we can also shoot props, details, close-ups, enviroments and materials relevant to your profession and brand. Artistic editing in my style is included. If desired, full detailed retouching (skin, hair, background) can be done on your favourites for an additional fee.

With couple sessions, I try to capture mostly unposed shots that show the genuine connection between you and your partner. In order for that to happen, I will give you some direction with the goal of revealing your individual personalities as well as your essence as a couple. I've been told I'm very easy to work with and have a way of making people smile naturally for the camera... So no worries if one of you, or both of you, are camera-shy. ;)

Cami is a fantastic photographer! We originally hired her to shoot our engagement photos, and loved our photos so much that we decided to hire her for our destination wedding in Mexico. Our
photographs turned out amazing! She was able to capture beautiful portraits and also candid shots. She was a pleasure to work with and was a consummate professional. She was able to capture amazing moments for us that we will remember forever! Cami is amazing at what she does! :) We did a one hour shoot with her and we’re so happy with the photos.
